Forte da Cruz

Rising from a rocky promontory north of Cascais, this 18th-century coastal fortress accommodates 70–150 guests within converted gun emplacements and officers' quarters, with ceremony conducted within the fort's central parade ground or in a modern pavilion preserving sight lines toward the Sintra massif. Original crenellations and stone fortifications frame the event space, with service corridors carved from original foundation rocks. Twenty-four documented weddings and three industry awards reflect the site's rare combination of tactical-military authenticity and unobstructed Atlantic vistas.
