Grand Junction

Grand Junction occupies St Mary Magdelene, a Grade-I-listed Victorian church designed by G.E. Street, who also designed the Royal Courts of Justice. The building's painted ceiling and stained glass were crafted by leading artisans of the era and the space was notable enough to feature in the 2012 film Les Miserables. An award-winning extension completed in 2019 introduces modern facilities whilst preserving the historic shell. The Nave, the principal reception space, dates back over 200 years as a 19th-century architectural statement. It accommodates 80 to 230 seated guests or 400 standing. The Undercroft below—an atmospheric crypt—works for arrival drinks, canapés or evening dancing. The canal-side location near Paddington, Warwick Avenue and Royal Oak stations makes guest arrival straightforward, with central London just minutes away.
