Le Bon Moine

In a village in Champagne south of Reims, this former monastery and estate combines a stone chapel (fourteenth century) with eighteenth-century monastic buildings. A cloister, refectory, and cells have been converted to event spaces and guest rooms; the kitchen occupies a restored vaulted building. The venue accommodates 50 to 140 guests and allows ceremonies to happen in the chapel while receptions occupy adjoining cloistered areas—a processional logic embedded in the building's original monastic program.
