The Elmgrove

The Elmgrove is a former Anglican church dating to the 1870s, now operating as a multifunctional venue in Bristol's Redland neighbourhood. The original architectural features—stained-glass windows, stone pillars, vaulted ceilings, exposed wooden rafters—remain intact, eliminating the need for extensive decoration to create atmosphere. The venue offers both the original large hall and a smaller adjoining space; these can be hired separately or together depending on your guest count. The main hall seats 200 or accommodates 300 standing, whilst the smaller room holds 100. Both have equipped kitchens and step-free access. Fairy lights create additional ambiance in the smaller space. The historic building appeals to couples drawn to period architecture and the inherent character of a genuinely old structure rather than reproduction styling.
