Within Zurich's medieval core, on a lane so narrow its name occupies a single compass point, this 1621 guild hall displays timber framing and façade patterns intact across four centuries. The main room—warmed by candlelight and lined with portraits of long-deceased guildmasters—seats fifty to ninety guests within walls whose every surface carries legible history. A hand-carved sandstone cellar below serves intimate receptions. Its authenticity resists the performed historicism that plagues most heritage venues.
