A stone mansion from the 1850s stands behind ornamental gates in a town known for silk manufacturing. Sixty to one hundred fifty guests arrange within paneled drawing rooms and a dining hall with a coffered ceiling. The property preserves original appointments—carved newel posts, brass light fixtures, silk wallpaper in muted gold tones. The kitchen occupies a separate wing built in the 1920s, allowing food preparation without imposing on formal rooms. Hotel guests sleep in converted bedrooms throughout the upper floors.
