Hôtel de la Ponche

Situated in the oldest quarter of the village, de la Ponche hosts fifty to one hundred fifty guests in a sixteenth-century building with narrow stairways and windows onto the harbor. The property predates the motorcar; every arrival is by foot. Rooms are small and narrow; furnishings suggest a private home rather than institutional hospitality. The ground floor has two dining areas that open into each other. Light is cool and gray even in summer due to surrounding buildings. Weddings here feel like town events, visible to locals.
